There's
No Business Like Show Business
Everything
entertainment will go with this theme! From the old days of
Vaudeville to Broadway to hit television shows or movie
blockbusters. You can open the show with a mock audition and then go
into the audition song from the Broadway hit, A Chorus Line.
And you can have the showbiz flare right from the time the audience
walks into the building, from the lobby on in.
Other great ideas
Dress girls like the old-time “cigarette girls” with the box filled
with your recital programs hanging around their neck, both in the
lobby and walking the aisles • as the audience walks into the
auditorium, you could be playing the 1954 movie There’s No
Business Like Show Business playing on your curtain. Use the
sound from the movie or just have a melody of nostalgic showbiz
songs • for scene changes you could have Broadway show song lyrics
on a screen or with the bouncing ball, giving the audience the
opportunity be part of the show • the program could be set up like
a Broadway Playbill
